    Adventure Time

Adventure Time, which takes place in a post-apocalyptic world in the Land of Ooo, is about a teen boy named Finn and his brother, a stretchy magical dog named Jake, who love fighting evil and hanging with their group of quirky friends.  I’ve been quite nervous to review this show for a while because I was afraid I wouldn’t do it justice, as it is definitely one of the best cartoons ever!  It has great animation that looks even more beautiful each season and some great characters who I’m going to introduce right now.  We have Finn, a funny and brave teenager who is the last human on Earth (or…

    Fruits Basket (2019 version)

Fruits Basket is about Tohru Honda, a girl who ends up staying with three members of the Sohma clan (most of the clan aren’t related) after they find her homeless and living in a tent.  Tohru finds out that thirteen of the Sohmas are part of the Zodiac curse, meaning that every time they hug someone that’s not their gender (like a boy hugging a girl) they transform into the Zodiac animals; but the Zodiac curse is not as cute as it looks.  The Sohmas have suffered for who they are, some of them even being rejected by their own parents.  The two Sohmas the anime mostly focuses on are…

    The Owl House

The Owl House is about a girl, Luz, who absolutely loves all things fantasy; however, her mother and teachers think Luz is into her interests too deep so her mother sends her to a “special” camp to try to get Luz to behave more normally. When walking to camp though, Luz accidentally lands in a fantasy realm called the Boiling Isles, full of some very weird creatures, and Luz doesn’t know how to get back home.  Luz is taken in by a rebellious witch, Eda, and she becomes Eda’s apprentice.  With the help of her new friends Eda, King and Hooty to name a few, Luz is determined to find…

    Media of the Month(s)

So, at the end of each month, I’m going to be doing a Media of the Month post where I recap some of the media that I’ve checked out recently.  I’m probably only going to put the things that I enjoyed (but if something is really bad, I might just share about that too!).  Since I missed the month of January, I’m combining January and February.  I hope that you enjoy this list and that it will inspire you to check out some of these awesome forms of media! Spiderman: Homecoming [CW:  some violent scenes and some strong language] So, right now I’m making my way through the MCU (Marvel…

    Hawkeye

This week I’m going to be reviewing Hawkeye, a miniseries that I really enjoyed.  Hawkeye has been well received by critics, some calling it the best Marvel series on Disney+ (along with Wandavision and Loki that is).  Hawkeye has also been streamed a lot since it came out, making the top 10 on several streaming charts.  I definitely found this to be the best Marvel show that I’ve seen on Disney+, which I will talk about more below.  FYI, this show does have a Christmas theme to it, and I loved watching it at Christmas, but I think you can watch it even if it’s not around Christmastime.  I was…

    Teen Wolf

I’ve been wanting to review more TV on my blog, so I’m going to start this week by doing a review of Teen Wolf.  When it was announced that MTV was going to remake the 80’s movie Teen Wolf into a TV show, a lot of people thought this was a ridiculous thing to do; but boy were they wrong!  Teen Wolf received positive reviews from TV critics and was a hit during its six-season run (several of the seasons were split into two different parts) from 2011 to 2017; and it was by far MTV’s most successful scripted show.  It was also announced just this year that a Teen…

    The best Halloween Episodes/Shows on Disney+ 2021

This week I’m going to do something a little different from what I usually do.  In honor of Halloween coming up next weekend, I’m going to be making a list of Halloween shows/episodes that I really enjoyed on the Disney+ streaming service recently (just an FYI:  most of the episodes are animated, though I’m adding one live-action show); and since Halloween isn’t for a few days, I may add to this list as we get closer to Halloween.  Also, a lot of these shows might be for young kids but I think, as I’ve stated in my bio, that people should hold on to the inner child within them (and…

    DuckTales

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, and the primary reason for this is that my grandmother, the last grandparent I have, passed away last month; and well, I took a break from writing and wasn’t quite sure how to start it back.  Then, I finally decided to end my well-over-a-month hiatus with a review of DuckTales!  (FYI:  This review is for the remake, not the original.)  After it was announced that Disney was going to remake DuckTales for the channel Disney XD, some people were unsure about how the show was going to turn out being a remake and all; but, when DuckTales was released in 2017, it was…

    The Mandalorian

So, you may or may not have noticed that in my last post I mentioned a special surprise was coming this week.  Well, as a holiday treat for my followers, I decided to post a review of one of my new favorite T.V. shows, The Mandalorian, which was the first ever scripted T.V. show to be released on the Disney+ streaming service (along with a High School Musical T.V. show).  There is no doubt that the show I’m reviewing is extremely popular; and a lot of its popularity comes from the adorable Baby Yoda (who they seriously need to make an emoji of!).  Believe it or not, I actually did…
